Any regular reader would probably know by now that I am a huge, huge fan of Dan Bejar and his various projects, especially his band Destroyer. Recently I wrote about his forthcoming album that will be released at the end of January. Now Pitchfork have the first preview of a track from that album. "Chinatown" is the song and to be perfectly honest I am not blown away. I mean it's a beautiful melody and all but the instrumentation is a bit of a concern. It's a tad soft rock and the saxophone doesn't do it for me. Maybe it will grow on me in time. I am sure I will still love the album.
