Back to reality. After close to four weeks away work beckons tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it, but money is needed to pay the bills and the credit cards. But I will have many, many happy memories. A holiday is always great, but a honeymoon is even better. Sharing sights and sounds and tastes with my favourite person was time spent that will never ever be forgotten. Our trip to New England and New York was a blend of revisiting old haunts and experiencing new ones. It was all great basically. A great mixture of art, food, history, music and general good times.
Here are some of my favourite memories...
Walking the great city of Boston
A magical night at Fenway watching the Sox
Eating at Atlantic Fish Co. in Back Bay (more chowder!)
Beautiful town of Sandwich
Exploring the serene town of Nantucket
Coastal Walk in Newport, Rhode Island
Glorious, glorious Vermont
Woodstock, Vermont (Is anywhere prettier?)
Hot Air Balloon ride in Vermont
Portsmouth, New Hampshire (so cool)
NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eating at Babbo, Mas, Spice Market, Barbuto, etc.
TITUS ANDRONICUS!!!! (review to come)
Pavement in Central Park (And Meeting Bill) (review to come)
Walking tour of Park Slope, Brooklyn
Food tour of Chinatown
The Met, the Guggenheim, the Whitney, MoMA, etc.
West Village and Meatpacking District
Two amazing plays on Broadway
Storm King Art Center
Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown
Shopping in Soho
Plus everything else...
